This manual explains how to set up and activate the Ditio–Novorender integration, enabling access to machine locations and geolocated checklists in Novorender's 3D viewer.

Minimum Requirements

  • A project in Ditio

  • Access credentials for Ditio and Novorender

  • Assigned coordinate system for the project in Novorender

  • Admin permissions in both platforms

Step 1: Set Up Integration in Ditio

  1. Log in to Ditio's integration panel Ditio Integration Page

  2. Click the blue button labeled “Add Client”.

  3. In the popup form titled Add Client, fill in the following:

    • Client name: Novorender

    • Valid until: Select a future date (e.g., a year from now)

    • User to emulate: Select the relevant user (if applicable)

    • Allowed scopes: Enable all options:

      • Ditio core

      • Ditio mass transport

      • Ditio Legacy (or other available options)

  4. Click Add Client to save.

Step 2: Retrieve API Credentials

  1. Once the client is added, find the client row (e.g., Novorender) in the integration list.

  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) on the right side of the row.

  3. Select Update from the dropdown.

  4. A new form will open showing:

    • Client ID

    • Client Secret

  5. Copy both values securely. You will need them for the Novorender platform.

Step 3: Configure Novorender

  1. Open Novorender Explorer.

  2. Go to:

    • Advanced Settings > Features > Widgets

    • Enable the toggle for Ditio

    • Click Save

  3. Navigate to:

    • Integrations > Ditio

  4. Paste the Client ID and Client Secret into the respective fields.

  5. Click Save.

Outcome

Once setup is complete:

  • Swap the view to 2D mode to see the markers.

  • Novorender will pull machine positions from Ditio. Note! It is crucial to choose the coordinate system for the project in Novorender in order for this feature to work.

  • Checklists will appear geolocated directly within the 3D viewer interface.

  • Project stakeholders can now visualize real-world field data overlaid on project geometry.
