After successful installation of the BIM 360 / ACC integration, upon logging into BIM 360 > PROJECTS, you should see a list of organizations and projects.

However, if you encounter the error:

"Loading Failed - Please make sure you have correct access rights to this project and 'Project Files' exist within BIM 360."

This indicates insufficient permissions in your Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) account.

You are missing the necessary access rights either as:---

  • A Project Member without Document Management access, or

  • A user not yet added to the ACC Project or Organization at all.

If You Are a Project Admin in ACC

To grant access to a colleague, ensure the following minimum permissions are enabled:

1. Project Role

  • Navigate to Members tab in ACC project settings.

  • Click Add members or edit an existing user.

  • Assign the user a Role (e.g., Engineer, Contractor).

2. Access Level

  • Set access level to Project Administrator

3. Services Access – Enable Docs

  • Ensure the "Docs" toggle is switched ON next to the member’s name.

    • This gives access to Document Management (Project Files).
